Tiger World - Rockwell, NC

Tiger World, a nonprofit animal conservation and educational center, is committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and preservation of exotic animals. Our mission extends beyond safeguarding these creatures to fostering a profound dedication to the conservation and education of all threatened and endangered species.

We are open to the public for educational guided tours and walkabout self-guided tours in Rockwell, NC. The intimate setting is a great place to bring the family and learn about the animals up close and personally. Tiger World is a different kind of Zoo. Our educational tours personally guide visitors throughout the preserve, learning about each animal and providing an individual hands-on experience. You will see the animals in a natural setting and have the opportunity to observe them running, playing, swimming, eating, sleeping, and interacting with their handlers.

OUR GOALS

EXEMPLARY ANIMAL CARE Our primary goal is to provide the optimal environment for the animals in our care, ensuring their well-being, health, and enrichment within captivity.

INSPIRING LEARNING ENVIRONMENT We aim to create a vibrant and stimulating learning environment for our visitors, fostering curiosity, understanding, and appreciation for wildlife.

GLOBAL SPECIES AWARENESS Our mission includes promoting awareness about endangered and threatened species worldwide. We strive to contribute to global conservation through education, advocacy, and outreach.

PASSIONATE ANIMAL EDUCATION We are dedicated to teaching people about animals, nurturing a love for wildlife, and instilling a profound appreciation for the importance of conservation.

SUPPORTING OUR CAUSE All proceeds generated by Tiger World from our visitors and supporters go directly to caring for our animals and fulfilling our mission to rescue and educate. By supporting Tiger World through our website, you're not just treating yourself or loved ones but contributing to our wildlife conservation efforts.

At Tiger World, our mission and goals align with animal welfare, education, and global species preservation principles, inspiring positive change for the animals in our care and the broader community.

Tiger World is committed to providing accessibility to guests with disabilities.  Tiger World has paved pathways, provides a wheelchair and wagons for guests to use, and has a driving cart where we can take guests who may be otherwise challenged to enjoy the zoo.  We also allow guests to bring their own carts and wheelchairs. We also will accommodate special times to be open for disabled guests who prefer not to be around large crowds.

For everyone’s safety, service animals and pets are not permitted.
